Brgy. Alion supports 1M41B Challenge

In support to the “1 Million Trees for 1Bataan (1M41B) Challenge”, the barangay officials of Alion, Mariveles spearheaded the planting of about 2,000 seedlings at upland Sitio Crossing of the village on Wednesday, August 14.

“We support the initiative of Gov. Abet Garcia and the Bataan SK Federation to plant trees”, said Alion Punong Barangay Al Balan.

“We should plant trees to fight pollution and prevent flooding”, the village chief told participants.

“This is a very good program of our governor for the environment”, he also said.

The tree-planting activity enticed at least 300 volunteers that included government workers, village folks, NGO personnel, police, army, Lions Club members, and students among others.

Mahogany and narra species were planted.

PENRO, CENRO, and PG ENRO also supported the activity.
