Bright business prospects in Bataan – DTI

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial director Nelin Cabahug is confident of the bright business outlook of the historical peninsula as a growing investment hub in Central Luzon with a number of trade missions who have expressed their interest into a joint partnership with local stakeholders.

During the seminar workshop on Green Economic Development Project in Crown Royale Hotel the other day, Ms. Cabahug underscored the positive boost from the local government officials headed by Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia and his father Bataan Rep. Enrique Garcia, Jr. of the second district by providing excellent infrastructure and communication facilities, sufficient and stable power supply, availability of highly-skilled and professional workers and numerous tax incentives and other benefits for local and foreign locators.

Ms. Cabahug stressed that the seminar is part of the long-range preparation of the DTI to enjoin small and medium enterprises to move for the greening of their businesses through practices that improve proficiency in the use of power, water and resources.

Some 50 entrepreneurs are undergoing the said seminar with DTI regional head Len Ordonio as fragment of their business multi-faceted responsibility to the agency roving academy, a series of seminars throughout the year for business development.

Ms. Cabahug explained that its various projects benefitted thousands of small and medium entrepreneurs focusing on the shared service facility amounting to P 7.7 million from 2013 to the present. Galing Bataan trade fair which showcases top-quality products produced in the province, bottoms up budgeting and other productive projects improving business capability to expand further to other countries.
