Business growth in Capitol road brings serious traffic mess

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Commuters, mostly students and employees from different localities in the province have asked the local government to institute an efficient and effective mechanism to decongest the half-kilometer Capitol road.
The unabated upsurge of commercial offices including banks, appliance and spare parts stores, fast foods and other retailing activities has greatly slowed down the movement of goods and services
Luis G. Gonzales, former municipal administrator of Mariveles and licensed real estate appraiser, has suggested the city government should undertake integrated approaches in the scientific implementation of improving traffic situation with the growing population and business prosperity trend of the province’s component city.
He pointed out that one of the current principal factors of traffic problem is the conversion of vacant spaces for business enterprises, expansion of the state university and privately-run collegiate schoosl, construction of shopping mall, restaurants and other private and government offices in the vicinity.
The road, as gateway to Bataan provincial capitol, Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU), Tomas del Rosario College, Balanga City Greater Public Market and exit area toward Roman Expressway from the City proper .
Mr. Gonzales has proposed the city government should develop feasible transport routes to avoid traffic jam with a more concrete program and to pave the way for smooth business operations and commercial expansion of one of the premier trading centers in Central Luzon.
