Business activities in Balanga City are quickly picking up, according to City Treasurer Joselito Evangelista who said many commercial establishments mushroomed at the start of 2021.
“But we felt the effect of pandemic only this period where a number of business owners pay their obligations only about 50 percent of the total amount,” said Evangelista.
“Madami din nagsara because of the pandemic pero napansin namin madami din nagbukas ng new business at the start of new year,” he said.
Before the advent of COVID-19, Balanga City Mayor Francis Anthony Garcia proudly announced the city government would realize P1 billion income. “I think that will come not this year, but maybe in 2022,” he said.
“Sa Balanga ang halos di naapektuhan ay mga drug stores, groceries at hardwares,” Evangelista explained.
