Christmas décor features front liners

After the famed distribution of basic commodities, hygiene kits, and goodies to village folks during the height of lockdown due to the threat of Covid-19, Punong Barangay Al Balan of Alion is going to please the front liners who had to stick their necks out to help infected patients.

The front liners’ photos would be highlighted in Christmas decors Balan himself had designed to celebrate the Christmas season. Balan said the barangay hall of Alion would be adorned with attractive Christmas lights. Last year, Balan used about 6,000 bulbs to light up the barangay hall to the delight of local residents.
“Gusto ko po kahit pandemic maramdaman ng kabarangay ko ang Pasko lalu na ng mga bata,” he said.

The Christmas décor will remain lighted until the traditional celebration of Three Kings.
Balan gained a reputation for introducing innovations like sponsoring boxing tilt for gays and other sports activities during the celebration of Barangaay Fiesta.
