Councilor Del Rosario, resource speaker in seminar for Bagac newly elected barangay officials

BAGAC, Bataan – Owing to his adept understanding of local legislation, this town’s three-time Councilor Popoy Del Rosario was invited resource speaker in a DILG-sanctioned seminar for newly elected Bagac barangay and SK officials.
The councilor was resource speaker on topic Overview on Barangay Legislation during the Basic Orientation for the Barangay Newly Elected Officials (BNED) towards Grassroots Renewal and Empowerment for Accountable and Transparent (GREAT) Barangay Program held at Vista Marina Subic Bay Freeport on Saturday.
The 3-day seminar that started on Friday was for this town barangay captains, kagawad, and SK officials.
“I discussed to them many legislative matters which I learned through studying, seminars, and in nine years of experience as municipal councilor. One of them is endorsing to the right SB Committee any resolution or ordinance they will pass at barangay level”, Del Rosario said.
“I am happy to share to them the knowledge I have so that they could become efficient barangay legislators”, he added.
He was invited to speak at the seminar by DILG Officer of Bagac Haidee Balicolon.
Del Rosario is the president of National Movement of Young Legislators Bataan Chapter. He is also the secretary general of Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Region 3 and vice president of PCL Bataan Chapter.
He also has a remarkable feat of being consistently voted first councilor in the last three elections.
