DINALUPIHAN, Bataan – Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Secretary Joel Villanueva awarded the second batch of scholarships for the TESDA Mobile Bus on Consumer Electronics Servicing NC II.

In a press briefing, Villanueva said the mobile bus of TESDA is presently conducting the first batch of Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) of Consumer Electronics. The program started this August and is expected to be finished on September this year.

Villanueva added that the second batch of scholarships was prompted by Sumi Philippines Wiring Systems (SPWS), dubbed one of the fastest growing companies in Bataan. Located in the nearby Hermosa Economic Zone, the TWSP was granted to Dinalupihan and is expected to fill the manpower demand for the expansion of SPWS.

The said program also caters for the work force demand of the Freeport Area of Bataan and the Subic Bay Freeport.

Sec. Vilanueva also awarded the Community Based Training Program of Motorcycle Repair and Maintenance to fifty members of the town’s Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association upon the request of Mayor Gila Garcia.

The event was held at the Dinalupihan Civic Center.
