Dinalupihan launches productive development scheme

DINALUPIHAN, Bataan – A former councilman of Barangay Old San Jose, this town, is optimistic with the strategic development scheme of the town’s lady Mayor Maria Angela S. Garcia which would enhance agricultural productivity and commercial growth in this town.

Oscar Flores, 61, palay thresher operator, has acclaimed the exceptional infrastructure and livelihood projects of Mayor Garcia which put to an end the perennial flooding of productive rice fields, vegetable and poultry farms through continuous dredging of heavily-silted waterways.

He explained when Ms. Garcia took over the helm as municipal executive three years ago, her first term was a very meaningful public service when she created a top-notch technical team to oversee and provide workable solution to the serious problem of flooding which statistically destroy multi-million worth of crops, public and private infrastructures.

Aside from focusing on the decades long problem of the town as catch basin of rainwaters which constantly hit the low-lying villages, Ms. Garcia, who was formerly a vice president of a foreign-owned marketing firm based in Metro Manila, has encouraged local traders to participate in the business promotions and activities which would provide jobs and other vital services to the residents in the fast growing municipality in the province, Flores said.

Several supermarkets, groceries and coffee shops have been established lately in Dinalupihan town namely, Puregold, Save More and other labor-intensive fast foods which eventually improved the economic status of the residents and local trading, Flores said.

Industrial workers and highly–technical professionals from Dinalupihan town have been reportedly hired by Japanese manufacturing firms operating inside the Hermosa Economic Zone during the first term of Ms. Garcia as municipal mayor.
