DINALUPIHAN, Bataan– Policemen of this town headed by Supt Rizalino Andaya are worthy of emulation. Businesswoman Liza Gabriel of Sto Nino, this town, personally wrote the PNP Provincial Headquarters through Sr. Supt. Rhodel Sermonia, Bataan Police Director, lauding the policemen here for not only catching two robbery suspects who victimized her but also for returning the P300,000 cash money they had recovered during the operation inside the house and store of the victim.
“We are also happy to learn that Ms Gabriel recognized our efforts and that is a morale booster for us,” said Co.l Andaya. Col. Andaya’s men caught in the act two members of the Akyat bahay gang who were cornered inside the store of Gabriel.
Initial investigation conducted by Col Andaya disclosed that on the said date while personnel of his station together with barangay officials and tanods of Brgy. Sto. Niño were patrolling, they noticed a green sedan car parked at a dark place of the said Brgy.
As a precautionary measure against lawless elements they immediately approached the said vehicle, but it sped away towards Dinalupihan Town Plaza, prompting the PNP personnel to chase but yielded negative result.
The other PNP personnel and barangay officials, noticed that Ms. Gabriel’s main gate was partially opened and the padlock was destroyed using a bolt cutter which was seen beside the gate. Andaya said that when they entered the house they caught the two suspects hiding behind the soft drinks storage.
Police also recovered from the suspects’ possession one (1) black ADIDAS neck bag with a pink pencil case containing drug paraphernalia’s, two (2) lighters, one (1) plastic heat sealed sachet containing suspected shabu and two (2) live ammunition for caliber .38.
Also recovered from the crime scene were different denominations of money amounting to Three Hundred Thousand Pesos Philippine Currency (Php300,000.00), one (1) red bolt cutter, one (1) wig, one (1) improvised acetylene, and one (1) ice pick.
