PILAR, Bataan – The opening of DTI’s Negosyo Center in this town where the Dambana ng Kagitingan, the country’s premier war memorial is located atop the historic Mount Samat, would strengthen micro-small and medium entrepreneurship  as well as travel and tourism industry in the province.

Ms. Judith Angeles, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) regional director for Central Luzon, stressed during the unveiling of the 7th Negosyo Center in Bataan last Monday that the center would serve as an effective and efficient business and technical consultancy hub in this third-class municipality and agricultural town.

She explained the Pilar town Negosyo Center, the 61st of its kind in Central Luzon’s seven (7) provinces would create a domino effect to the local economy which is envisioned to become the leading historical and cultural destination in the Luzon island.

The Negosyo Center would offer valuable information on the business application processing method, organizational set-up, requirement for business taxes, fees and other levies, marketing strategy, product development  and other livelihood trainings for the micro, small and medium entrepreneurs.

Ms. Angeles reiterated the significant role of the Negosyo Center to propel socio-economic prosperity in communities along the periphery of Mount Samat National Shrine in the upland village of Liyang and the stretch of Governor Linao National Road which is the gateway to the province’s coastal towns of Bagac and Morong, which are popular vacation spots in Central Luzon among local and foreign tourists.

With the unveiling of Negosyo Center, Ms. Angeles is expecting more small and medium capitalists to establish souvenir and handicraft shops and proliferation of restaurants serving food delicacies and other native unique products.
