The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bataan in partnership with the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) conducted skills training on meat processing among members of Samaleño Organiko Producers Cooperative (SOPCO) today, July 20, as part of the ongoing programs of DTI under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) intended for the agrarian reform beneficiaries.
The training participants were taught how to make skinless longganisa, tocino, and burger patty which they can use to start a business especially during this pandemic. Also tackled during rhe training are proper pricing, costing, packaging and product labeling.
“We will not stop from here. We will help your business grow and market your products which is timely and relevant to the new normal,” said DTI representative Mr. Jeypi Ocampo as he emphasized that there will be more seminars and skills training of this kind that will benefit the different communities in the Province.
