DTI launches Negosyo sa Barangay Program

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) launched its Negosyo sa Barangay Program in 3 barangays from the Municipality of Samal; Gugo, Palili, and Imelda held at Samal National High School in line with the strong campaign of President Rodrigo Duterte in giving out information regarding small businesses in different areas like barangays last September 26.

A total of 20 beneficiaries from the said barangays were given negosyo kit like sewing, crochet, bagmaking kit, and others. Other than the distribution of Negosyo Kit, a seminar regarding recordkeeping was done in order for them to have knowledge on how to properly record their stocks and income. According to DTI Provincial Director Nelin Cabahug, for 2019 their target is to develop 15 micro and small entrepreneurs the reason why they conducted seminars on how to put up a business.

Up to date, DTI focuses more on the Municipality of Samal for it is the only municipality classified as 4th class in the province. They aim to deliver utmost service in the municipality especially in putting up a small business.
