Last June 26, employees from the Office of Gov. Abet S. Garcia led by Ms. Aileen Crisolo started the school supplies distribution in Morong. Mr. Chris Leonzon, also from the Office of the Governor assisted in the distribution in Bagac. Ably escorted by personnel from the Philippine Army led by Sgt. Armando dela Cruz,  the team composed of 6 personnel from the Office of the Governor, 10 from the Division Office (DepEd), riding in vehicles provided by the Provincial School Borard, was always warmly met by teachers, parents and students with faces beaming with happiness. Dr. Tarcila Javier, Division Schools Supt. of Bataan coordinated the activity to concerned district supervisors and principals while municipal mayors on their end, notify the concerned barangay officials and General PTA officers.

To date, they have covered 11 schools in Morong and served a total of 5,516 students; 15 schools in Pilar – 8,188 students; 13 schools in Bagac – 5,979 students; 15 schools in Abucay – 7,301 students; 13 schools in Samal – 6,191 students; 15 schools in Orion – 10,608 students; 12 schools in Orani – 11,373 students; 3 schools in Dinalupihan – 960 students; 12 schools in Hermosa – 12,338 students.

According to Ms. Crisolo, they will be able to finish the distribution by next week. On the surface, this program can be interpreted as Governor Abet Garcia’s simple gesture of motivating the students to make good in their studies, but on a deeper sense, this simple gesture shows the high value that Gov. Abet places on education.
