BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia is encouraging land developers and realty firms to focus their developments on the government socialized housing agenda which have more captive markets with the putting up of labor-intensive industrial and manufacturing firms in two northern Bataan towns.

Engineer Ricardo C. Herrera, provincial assessor, stressed   that Governor Garcia has expressed his concern on several occasions expecting the unparalleled economic growth of two industrial towns of Limay and Mariveles  that may create  a  shortage of housing facilities for the industrial workers and their families.

Herrera said while business activities are expected to perk up with the latest development that EFARE Investment Holdings Incorporated, a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation is investing PhP 60 billion, got the go-signal from the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) to build the 500 hectare Bataan Industrial Park near the coastal boundary of Bagac and Mariveles towns.

He said the AFAB has doubled the number of industrial workers with its existing 114 locators composed of Korean, Taiwanese, Chinese, American ,Japanese, British, Bahrainese, French, German and Polish, the demand for housing accommodations are presumed to become a problem.

Herrera added several realty firms have signified their willingness to the appeal of Governor Garcia to provide a substantial portion of their subdivision projects in Bataan for a socialized housing plan.
