BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Gov. Abet Garcia gave P40 thousand financial assistance to the BPSU 1st National Conference on Food, Environment, and Engineering Technology.
Aside from the governor, Bataan Representatives Geraldine Roman (first district) and Joet Garcia (second district) gave P20 thousand each. Balanga City Mayor Francis Garcia donated P10 thousand.
“The financial assistance will be used primarily for the Fellowship Night”, said BPSU Director for Research and Development, Dr. Hermogenes Paguia.
Academicians and researchers from state universities and colleges in the country will participate in the 3-day national conference to be held this week November 22-24 at Louis Restaurant, this city.
Expert speakers of the conference are CHED Commissioner Dr. Ronald Adamat, DOST PCAARRD Dr. Melvin Carlos, DOST PCIEERD Dr. Carlos Primo David, DA BAR Dr. Nicomedes Eliazar, WorldFish Dr. Lily Ann Lando, and ABS CBN Foundation Gina Lopez. The national conference has full backing of BPSU President Greg Rodis.
“The conference will catapult BPSU as university in the forefront of promoting science and technology innovations”, Paguia said.
