Senator Bong Go led the opening of Super Health Center in Mariveles. He was accompanied by Gov. Joet Garcia, Bataan 3rd District Congresswoman Gila Garcia, 2nd District Congressman Abet Garcia, Mariveles Mayor AJ Concepcion, Vice Mayor Lito Rubia, and Sangguniang Bayan members, among others on Thursday.
The new health facility is located along MAAP Road, Barangay Alas-asin, Mariveles.
“Ang Super Health Center na ito ay naglalayong magkaroon ng serbisyong medikal para sa mga simpleng konsultasyon, medikasyon, laboratoryo at iba pang mga serbisyo nang sa gayon ay abot kamay na matanggap ang mga ito ng ating mga kababayan para sa pagkakaroon ng maayos na kalusugan”, said Concepcion.
The mayor has vowed to provide accessible health services to Mariveles residents, an initiative supported by the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Lito Rubia. Go, chairman of Senate Committee on Health and Demography, pushed for the creation of Super Health Centers across the country to improve the access of Filipinos to government health services.
Super Health Center is a medium version of a polyclinic and an improved version of the rural health unit. Concepcion also said 300 town residents received Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) with the fund coming from the senator.
He thanked the senator for the health facility and financial assistance. Earlier in the day, Go attended the turnover ceremony of 1Bataan Village 216 houses to displaced families in Orion town.
