Four thousand new beneficiaries of the Iskolar ng Bataan (INB) program with their guardians were oriented on the policy and guidelines of the program during a recent general assembly cum orientation.
Gov. Joet Garcia and Vice Gov. Cris Garcia led the general assembly held at Bataan People’s Center. Gov. Garcia took the opportunity to update the scholars on other important programs of the provincial government, especially those which have an impact on them. He particularly cited the operation of electric shuttles in the province launched a couple of weeks ago by the provincial government in partnership with Global Electric Transport City Optimized Managed Electric Transport (GET COMET) that can provide transportation services to students.
For her part, Vice Gov. Cris Garcia advised students to seriously take the opportunity to finish schooling through the program saying education is truly a key to better living. She said that the late governor Tet Garcia was thinking of improving the lives of Bataeno families when he launched the Iskolar ng Bataan program in 2004.
Pusong Pinoy Partylist Rep. Jett Nisay also joined the assembly of about 13,000 scholars for this academic year. |Contributed by: Butch Gunio
