GSP-Bataan holds council board orientation and induction ceremony

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Girl Scout of the Philippines- Bataan chapter recently hold their orientation and oath taking ceremony for their newly elected council board officials with Regional Executive Director Angelita A. Manalili administering the oath and orienting them at the GSP Bldg., Capitol Compound.
Ms. Estrella dela Rosa, reelected Council President said in her welcome greetings that girl scouting has a promise and a law as a code of behavior of every member, that is whenever we( girl scout) make a promise, consider its importance and when made, engrave it upon our heart.
At the orientation, Ms. Manalili, emphasized that the council is an organized and chartered body of GSP with the main responsibility of managing and maintaining girl scouting through out the area of jurisdiction and that they participate in the activities and business of GSP specially regional conferences, camps, conventions, trainings and others; that the council will not only serve as a consultative body but will also assume responsibility for the development and extension of the girl scouting movement in the province.
Elected officers were, Ms. Estrella dela Rosa- President, Elenita Dador- Vice Pres. Internal, Josie Tolentino- Vice Pres. for Field, Liwanag Santiago- treasurer, Adoracion Fernando- Auditor and board members, Ludivina Omania, Leonory Canare, Amelyn Zulueta, Brenda Gaddi, Abigail Sevilla, Leticia Viscayno, Zenaida Soriano, with life members, Dr. Salud Bagalso, Violeta Tolentino, Lilia Reyes and Anita de Dios.
GSP- Bataan has been awarded for the third consecutive year as the “Best GSP COUNCIL” regional level for its best performance, training and membership.
