CAPITOL GROUNDS, Balanga City –During this morning’s flag raising ceremony, Gov. Abet S. Garcia, gamely posed with his palm wide open to show the “Hands Up for HIV Prevention” campaign of the Department of Health in observation of the World AIDS Day last December 1 where he announced that the Provincial Health Office is conducting HIV tests among the provincial capitol employees for free.
The hardworking governor also mentioned the recently forged partnership of the province with the Zuellig Family Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Zuellig Pharma, a leading drug company worldwide.
Governor Abet joined representatives and research team of Zuellig on an on-site survey in some of the rural communities of the province, which he says could be considered as among the remaining poor communities in the province. The result of this research will serve as a basis of the local leaders in crafting and implementing programs/reforms in the province’s health care system.
He rallied all the department heads to come up with programs and services that will address the needs of these communities.
