IATF to Bataenos: Don’t panic

In a meeting held yesterday, March 20, attended by the different agencies that compose the Bataan Inter-agency Task Force COVID-19, presided by Dr. Francisco Hermoso, DOH Bataan, among the topics discussed were the protocols on the issuance of barangay passes, manning of checkpoints, delegation of tasks, management of donations, and monitoring of COVID-19 cases in the Province.

Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Rosanna Buccahan presented the situation report of COVID-19 in the province. She appealed to the public not to panic despite the number of Patients under Monitoring (PUM) and Patients under Investigation (PUI) in Bataan for it only means that the PHO can track them is able to contain it. As of March 19, 2020 there are 4,475 PUM, 192 PUI (mild) and 35 PUI (moderate to severe).
Dr. Buccahan also assured the public that the Provincial Government of Bataan together with the lead agencies concerned is doing its best to fight the continuous threat of COVID-19.

The Bataan Inter-agency Task Force COVID 19 is composed of the following agencies as members: Provincial Health Office (PHO), Provincial Information Office (PIO), the League of Municipalities, Association of Municipal Health Offices, Department of Health – Bataan, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA), Bureau of Fire Protection, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office and Philippine National Police (PNP).
