Infrastructure projects speed-up industrial development

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The implementation of strategic infrastructure projects in the province would hasten economic-industrial growth.

Nick S. Ancheta, Bagac municipal administrator, said the proposed Bataan-Cavite road link, transshipment port and completion of the coastal  Bagac-Mariveles road and the improvement of 70 kilometers Roman Highway are classified as tactical measures which would increase trade and investments, integrating micro, small  and medium-sized capitalists into global value-chain, developing and innovation driven economy.

With these highly-pioneering infrastructure development scheme, Ancheta expects inflow of local and foreign investments to come in with continued favorable investors sentiment on the Bataan strong macro-economic fundamentals.

Ancheta, former college student leader and campus editor, foresees the lasting beneficial yields from engaging in infrastructure which leads to the highest multiplier effect to the local economy as it creates jobs for construction highly-skilled and professional labor and manufacturing jobs in the long run.

The improvement of roads and other linkages provide bigger demand for housing and commercial property leasing, enhance agricultural productivity, influx of small and medium entrepreneurs and expansion and relocation of numerous labor-intensive industrial firms in Bataan.

He explained the new road programs would attract additional investment portfolios which may be directed to produce  greatly  saleable and fashionable bags, shoes, and other accessories, electronics, resort and health tourism industry, storage and warehouse facilities and other revenue generating trading firms.
