“We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all the power we need inside ourselves already. We have the power to imagine better” by J.K. Rowling, novelist.
A teacher carries a big responsibility in his classroom. One reason is that the students depend on him. Everything the teacher says will make an impact on the students.
Teachers hold the key in providing a good environment for the students. Both the teacher and the students benefit in a pleasant learning environment. But before that happens, a teacher needs to be well prepared in order that the students receive the best treat.
It is essential for teachers to be prepared because the first years of school are very important for the students. Students’ success in education depends on their first years. It’s never late to start a bond of relationship between the teacher and his students. Consequently, the contact of the students with the teacher is an everyday act. Even though, there will be some days when students will misbehave, there will also be other days when there will be no problem at all.
I strongly believe that teachers need to show respect, caring, become role models, create a pleasant environment, treat students right, instruct them but not be totalitarian, and guide them through the road of success.
As the teacher creates a warm and protective environment he should still remain professional at all times. If students feel secure in the classroom the result will be shown in the academic progress. A good start could be a mutual trust with each student.
Teachers have the responsibility to know their students. Each day, teachers show their attitudes that the students are unaware of. The students also do the same, and in the process, both teachers and students get to know each other better. This somehow breaks the ice and the whole class benefits. Initially, most of the students are afraid of the teacher because they do not know the teacher’s personality yet. However, It will change until such time that the teacher and students discover their common interests.
Students walk into schools with a multitude of talents, wisdom, and other baggage that perceptive educators must help uncover at times, nurture, and creatively guide so that each student believes in himself and soars with success throughout life.
Teachers should be loved and appreciated every second with each of infinitely long list of students to inspire them; to know they keep soaring to new heights without ever forgetting their teacher is a greatest joy!
