ISAF donates bags, books to students

MARIVELES, Bataan -The Intelligence Support and Action Force (ISAF), tapped by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to help the PNP in its intelligence gathering and anti-crime campaign, donated school supplies to young students in the town’s various barangays.

Al Balan, president of ISAF, led his group the other day in the distribution of 480 school bags, notebooks, pencils, crayons, erasers, pads and sharpeners in eight barangays of Mariveles. The ISAF themselves gave their own cash contributions for this endeavor, said Balan.

“We want also to contribute in our own little way to the poor students so we not only resort to intelligence and monitoring but we also do social service, particularly to the poor students,” pointed out Balan,

The ISAF president said that Governor Abet S. Garcia and Mayor Jesse Concepcion also gave cash donations for the project.

Balan said that they ascended all the way to the remote mountainous barangay of Biaan where they donated school supplies to the poor Aeta community there.

Chief Inspector Rommel Labalan, CIDG’s administrative officer, also joined in the distribution, saying the students were so happy in receiving said school supplies

Major Labalan encouraged the ISAF members to continue doing their share in helping the poor community as he hailed them for their laudable act.
