Iskolar ng Bataan general assembly 2018

BALANGA CITY, Bataan. – Despite the prevailing bad weather in the province, all roads led to the Bataan People’s Center last Saturday, August 18 as the new batch of Iskolar ng Bataan beneficiaries trooped to the said venue for the annual general assembly.

A total of 5,654 student beneficiaries from the 1st and 2nd districts of the province, together with their parents attended said event.

No less than Vice Governor Cris Garcia, who served as Coordinator of the Iskolar ng Bataan Program since its implementation was there to explain the program as well to accommodate queries from the beneficiaries who came with their respective parents/guardians.

Pertinent questions raised by the students were satisfactorily answered including the concerns of the students who are studying outside Bataan. According to Iskolar ng Bataan Coordinator, Ramon Cañas, the parents/guardians were required to join the General Assembly because they should also be aware of the requirements that their children should comply with in order to maintain the scholarship grant.

Due to the large number of attendees, the Assembly was divided into two parts, 1st district in the morning and 2nd district in the afternoon. However, due to the bad weather condition some of the beneficiaries were not able to make it especially in the afternoon, hence the office of the Iskolar ng Bataan announced that another general assembly will be held for those who were not able to make it. Details will be announced soon.
