The municipal government of Limay is all set to purchase its own dialysis machine to serve the needs of poor patients of the local residents.
Limay Vice Mayor Richie Jayson David said the municipal government will focus its program towards attending to medical needs of local folks more particularly those who can hardly afford to buy medicines and costly hospitalization.
The dialysis machine which usually costs more or less P2 million will be used by the extremely needy patients but who cannot afford the medical service in expensive private clinics and hospitals.
Vice Mayor David said the municipal government will make available the facilities of the local therapy clinic where the dialysis machine will be kept.
Patients with kidney problems usually cough up between P2,000 and P3,000 per session. Normally, dialysis treatment is two to three session per week depending on the medical requirement of the patient.
