SAMAL, Bataan – The youth of today are by nature curious, outgoing, restless – they seem to have so much excess energy, needless to say, they also love adventure.
In addition to computer/online games, they also engage in hobbies, one of which is having pets such as dogs, cats, fish, and even birds/parrots.
It has been established that parents should encourage their children to have pets for this develops the children’s nurturing trait as well as their sense of responsibility, to name some of the advantages. What more, this will help them stay away from illegal drugs.
Majestic Wings Philippines is one of the large groups of parrot enthusiasts in the country and it now has a chapter here in Bataan. The members of Majestic Wings Bataan are inviting their fellow bird/parrot enthusiasts to join in their weekly activity which they call the “Free Flight”.
One of the active members of the Bataan chapter, a resident of Calaguiman, this town and a student of Tomas del Rosario College, Neil David Forbes has this to say: “Ang free flight po ay ang pagbibigay namin ng kalayaan sa aming mga alagang ibon na makalipad at magawa ang kanilang natural na gawain, sa gawaing ito ay wala pong kahit anong hayop ang nasasaktan”. To those who are interested to become members of this group or even just take part in their weekly Free Flight, feel free to contact Neil David Forbes.
