Malasakit Center soon to open in Bataan

BALANGA CITY – This is a welcome news to local folks with limited budget particularly for their medical needs.
The Malasakit Center, a one-stop shop for those seeking medical assistance will be put up at the Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center, barely a month after Bong Go, former special assistant to President Duterte, promised to build one in Bataan.
The Center properly ensconced in a corner of BGHMC will cater to Bataan residents who badly need medical help without the usual hassle of going from one government agency to the other.
The Malasakit Center is a one-stop shop counter where the basic agencies like the PhilHealth, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD),Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor) and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) which are usually needed to go for processing of financial assistance will be holding office there.
A patient who needs financial assistance from the Center only have to bring the hospital bill and medical abstract. A certificate of indigency will no longer be needed.
Each patient may be allotted P50,000 for medical needs. A patient has to fill out necessary forms and undergo interview by a social worker.
