Mariveles bags excellence award for health

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Municipality of Mariveles recently bagged again the Central Luzon Excellence Award from the Department of Health (DOH) for its outstanding performance and significant contributions in maintaining a healthy municipality during the 7th DOH awarding ceremony held at the Royce Hotel Clark Freeport Zone.
Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion in an interview said that the local government’s support and commitment to the DOH’s Formula One Plus made it to the citation and more importantly their effort in pushing for a smoke-free municipality was recognized through the DOH RED ORCHID, award officially proclaiming Mariveles as a Tobacco Free Municipality.
Concepcion added that his administration is happy to do well in good governance and has proven once again its excellence in providing health services to the whole municipality thus hailed as one of the top performing municipalities in Central Luzon.
He also wants to thank Gov. Abet Garcia for the full support to the LGU, for the assistance in all their programs, making Mariveles a peaceful and progressive town.
Other municipalities who also received the awards were, Orion, Pilar, Samal and Dinalupihan.
