Recognizing the role of the business sector specially during the pandemic, Mayor Francis Garcia lauded top performing entrepreneurs as well as Top 25 highest Business Gross Sales in Bataan in the last Friday’s 2022 Galing Bataan Awards Night in collaboration with the 3rd Invest Balanga Awards with the theme, “Husay at Tatag ng Bataeno, Susi sa Maunlad na Pagnenegosyo”.
Mayor Garcia said that this is the first collaboration of CEDO headed by Mr. Edmer Fabian and the Provincial Cooperative Enterprise and Development Office (PCEDO) headed by Ms. Zena Sugatain, that will further promote and strengthen our 1Bataan team among business communities.
The Top 7 Major Awardees are, 1)Jollibee of the De Guznan Group of Companies as the Top Employer (Hall of Famer) bagging the award for the third time; 2)Land Bank of the Phil.- Top Performing Bank; 3) Robinson’s Lands as the Highest Real Property Tax Payer, 4) Waltermart – Highest Gross Sales Large Business Category; 5) Mcdonald – Highest Gross Sales Medium Business Category; 6) Mr. DIY – Highest Gross Sales Small Business Category and 7) Entrego – Highest Gross Sales Micro Business Category.
Topping the list of the 25 Top Highest Business Gross Sales in Bataan, are Vista Mall, Landbank, Banco de Oro, Penelco, Abenzon Ventures, Waltermart, Coca-cola Beverages Inc., All Homes Corp., Puregold, K-Servico, Toyota Bataan Inc., Isaac Catalina Medical Center Inc., Avon Cosmetics and many others.
Governor. Jet Garcia in his message said that, “kahit naging mahirap ang ating pinagdaanan ay may inaasahan naman tayong tutulong para maging maayos ang ating pamumuhay at kayo yon, ang ating Bataeñong entrepreneurs, as the real engine of growth na kung hindi dahil sa inyong innovations and resourcefulness hindi magkakaroon ng magagandang produkto ang ating lalawigan at empleyo para sa ating mga kababayan.
To further inspire the audience, Gov. Joet mentioned the Expansion of the Freeport Area of Bataan, a law he pushed in Congress that is why, the Freeport Area of Bataan has now expanded to the Woodlands Industrial zone in Dinalupihan, City of Balanga at the Capitol and the Harbor City in Pilar town, the government arsenal in Limay, as the First Defense Economic Zone in the country, which are continuously attracting investors and locators, giving much needed employment opportunities for our people.
Lastly, Gov Joet Garcia said that a lot of projects are still in the pipeline like those of the transport group, the possibility of shifting to electric vehicles with solar charging station which will lessen transport fare as well as cashless transactions thru digital payments to ensure faster and worldwide transactions.
