BALANGA CITY, Bataan – At the kick- off ceremony in the observation of the “National Crime Prevention Week” City Mayor Francis Garcia commends the PNP Balanga City headed by P/Supt. Bhyrone Allatog, during their flag raising ceremony, for being pro-active not only in their “loose firearms” operation, going around at night making sure that no crimes are committed, implementing curfew for minors and others, giving the City a good image in the general peace and order situation.
Mayor Garcia stressed that this initiative not only bolsters the cooperation and collaboration among barangay- lgu’s with the police but also shows that crime prevention efforts are working all the way, making the community a safer place to live in.
Mayor Garcia praised the efforts of the PNP with COP P/Supt. Bhyrone Allatog together with Prov’l. Director Marcelo Dayag for the one-day OPLAN- KATOK yeilding 60 loose firearms in Balanga City alone.
Supt. Allatog in an interview said that instead of applying the search warrant, they initiated the oplan- katok with maximum tolerance, that is, they encourage individuals in their home visits to surrender firearms in their possession for safe keeping prior to the renewal of permits/licenses for said firearms, in a very peaceful manner.
Mayor Francis Garcia appealed to all the citizenry to renew their firearms and be responsible gun owners to make Balanga City, a progressive and safe city.
