Mayor Jopet leads Philhealth membership card distribution


HERMOSA, Bataan – Hermosa Municipal Mayor Jopet R. Inton on Monday led the distribution of Philhealth membership cards to almost 2,000 beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in this first-class municipality.

Inton said the project is under the ALAGA KA para sa Maayos na Buhay of the Department of Health and Philhealth.

Ten persons for each barangay (village) were invited or a total of 230 individuals attended the affair. The complete list numbers to 1,876. The new members were also obliged to fill up the membership data record forms (MDRs) signifying their automatic membership to Philhealth.

ALAGA, which stands for ALAmin at GAmitin, is a campaign strategy that aims to better disseminate appropriate information regarding rights and privileges under the present Kalusugan Pangkalahatan (KP) to PhilHealth Members, especially to qualified dependents of Indigent, Sponsored Program and Organized Groups as well as land-based members of those under the Overseas Workers Program (OWP).
