More investments in Bataan, coming up!

CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan – The US Trade & Investment Mission to the Philippines of the Federation of Philippine-American Chambers of Commerce (FPACC) highlighting FPACC’s attendance to the Manila F.A.M.E. Exhibition and the 40th Philippine Business Conference,  recently visited Central Luzon for tourism and business prospects.

Yesterday, October 22, a 54-man delegation with interest in meeting global partners and exploring investment opportunities visited our Province. Coming from Tarlac, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Gov. Abet S. Garcia at the Bataan Tourism Center, together with Vice Governor Bondjong Pascual, other top local government officials, officers and members of the Bataan Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Inc. (BCCII), Atty. Deo Custodio of the Freeport Area of Bataan and other local counterparts.

Guests and delegates were awed by the angelic voices of the Koro Bangkal, who rendered musical numbers as they entered the Center for cocktails.

In his welcome message, as Gov. Abet underscored Bataan’s edge as an investment location, which is in congruence to our vision of becoming the preferred location for eco-industrial investments that will lead to the highest human development index in the country,  he likewise expressed his appreciation for the group’s visit and interest in doing business in our province.

After the audio-visual presentation featuring Bataan, prepared by the staff of the Bataan Tourism Office, Head of Mission and FPACC Executive Director, Mr. Gus Mercado gave an overview of their mission and introduced his fellow delegates. The introduction of their local counterparts and an open forum ensued.

To seal the newly forged partnership, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Ms. Ethel Mercado, Honorary Consul General, Philippine Consulate, Texas and FPACC President together, Gov. Abet Garcia who is also the Treasurer of Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation, Inc. (CLGCFI) and Ms. Armanda Battad, BCCII President.

Before heading back to Manila, the delegates attended the Governor’s Night where they were treated to a sumptuous dinner and a truly delightful cultural show, at the picturesque Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac.
