National Museum of the Philippines, Intramuros Administration extend help in Mt. Samat Shrine rehabilitation

PILAR, Bataan – Mt. Samat Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zone (FTEZ) Administrator Francis Initorio together with National Museum of the Philippines Director Mr. Jeremy Barns and Intramuros Administration Administrator Atty. Guiller Asido visited the remarkable shrine for inspection and recommendation for the aesthetic aspect followed by site discussion at The Plaza Hotel, yesterday, May 30.
The National Museum of the Philippines is willing to help in the rehabilitation so as to give recognition to the National Artists who helped in building the shrine especially Napoleon Abueva who did most of the designs in the Colonade.
Initorio added that of the 600,000 tourists arrivals in the province annually, at least 300,000 of them visit the Mt. Samat Shrine
Aside from the inspection, Mt. Samat (FTEZ) presented its short term goal and quick fix facility where National Museum of the Philippines and Intramuros Administration can help. One of the major suggestions is the rehabilitation of comfort rooms and additional number of cubicles. being one of the major concerns of almost all of the visitors, commented Mr. Barns.
To date, the National Museum of the Philippines and Intramuros Administration are committed to help in the rehabilitation of Mt. Samat Flagship Tourism Enterprize Zone.
