NFA Bataan assists in rice dispersal to Region V

The National Food Authority Region III thru NFA Bataan Provincial Office once again tapped the services of Seafront Port and Shipyard in Lucanin, Mariveles for the dispersal of local rice by sea to Region V thru MV Cecilia V.

A total of 30,000 bags of local rice sourced from Region III provinces – Bulacan, Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac and Nueva Ecija was dispersed to Region V.

The Vessel Inspection Team headed by PSQAO Angelito Rodriguez conducted a thorough inspection of the vessel to ensure the cleanliness of holds and hatches before loading the rice stocks. The loading operations commenced on February 8, 2020 and completed on February 11, 2020. MV Cecilia V left Seafront port terminal on February 13, 2020 set to dock in Virac Port, Catanduanes. MV Cecilia V arrived in

Catanduanes on February 15, 2020, and unloading operations started in February 19.
