BALANGA CITY, Bataan – For the past several weeks, Bataan suffered from flooding as a result of heavy rainfalls induced by “Habagat” or monsoon rains. This caused sufferings to the residents of the province as well as damages to their properties.
In addition to the rice relief assistance provided by the local government units, starting from the Provincial Government of Bataan, the National Food Authority (NFA) Bataan also served the rice requests of some national officials like Vice President Leni Robredo, Sen. Manny Pacquiao and Sen. Nancy binay for direct distribution to affected constituents in the province.
A total of 3,045 bags were issued by the NFA local branch to the different LGUs and other institutions. Despite the bad weather condition, NFA Bataan has a skeletal force on duty to cater to the needs of relief-giving organizations.
