NFA, Red Cross hold bloodletting activity

   CITY of BALANGA, Bataan -The National Food Authority (NFA) Bataan and Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) conducted a bloodletting activity at the NFA compound this City. Ms. Adelaida Nuestro, NFA Bataan Manager said the bloodletting activity is in line with the celebration of NFA’s 42nd anniversary. No less than Governor Albert Garcia graced the occasion.

   Architect Nick Rubiano, former chief of Regional Emergency Assistance Communications Team (REACT) and member of the Board of Directors of PNRC Bataan, said about 94 regular bags of blood were collected.

   The local office of NFA here has been doing this annual bloodletting in celebration of the agency’s anniversary for more than a decade now.

   PNRC Bataan OIC Charlie Gatbunton oversaw the activity. Volunteer nurses facilitated the bloodletting procedure.

   Aside from REACT, the Association of Bataan Palay Retailers, Philippine Army, CIS,   and other volunteers supported the bloodletting. Rubiano said that REACT has been supporting the bloodletting activity of NFA Bataan since it started.

   REACT ComBat officer Engr. Rod Munoz himself donated blood. Police Hotline Movement Incorporated Bataan Chapter provincial directress and REACT officer Yolly Paulo also joined the activity.
