NHA to construct P1 billion 1Bataan village for fire victims

Orion Mayor Antonio L. Raymundo, Jr. bared during the groundbreaking rites of the first phase of 1Bataan village for last year’s fire victims of Sitio Depensa, in the coastal village of Capunitan that the National Housing Authority (NHA) is financing the construction of about P 1 billion housing project in Daang Pare considered as the biggest housing community of its kind in Bataan.

The first phase would provide 2,872 families with adequate accommodations, including access to school, church, health center, water and power supply and other community vegetable farms for their consumption and additional income, fish drying area and parking space for their bancas.
The first phase of the project with an allocation of some P 220 million for site development for almost 11 hectares is reportedly safe for flooding, hazards of landslide and storm surges.
