One of the “Rising Talents” in France, a true blue Samaleño

SAMAL, Bataan – During the 26th anniversary celebration of the local government code, the municipality of Samal spearheaded different events wherein it proved to be the home of emerging talents, inspiring people to rise from hardship to follow their dreams, the likes of David Consunji of DMCI; Consul Eddie de Guzman of the De Guzman Group of Companies.

This time, Jinggoy Buensuceso, a native of Brgy. San Roque, of this town who himself revealed, “nakaranas siya ng pisikal na hirap at gutom para habulin ang kanyang pangarap,” which according to him, served more of a challenge to pursue his dreams, and he is right, for he now owns a company that designs prominent hotels all over the country and even abroad.

Just recently, before attending the Gawad Samaleño 2017 where he is one of the awardees, Jinggoy Buensuceso was selected as one of the five (5) winners of the “Rising Talents Awards Asia 2017” at Maison et Object Paris, France, which is the premier French Trade Fair for interior design and one of the three most important European events for interior design, for his modern functional art, furniture and interiors created under his production studio  BETA Design Company, which has shown exemplary works in design innovation.

In his message during the luncheon program, Buensuceso said that he was inspired by what he saw in his town’s journey to change and progress, where everybody is helping to reach the goal of a vibrant economy, although he misses “kung ano iyong nahubog sa kanyang kaisipan at puso noong siya ay bata pa tulad ng usok sa pagluluto ng kalamay, pagbibilad ng alamang at paglalaro sa daan.”

Buensuceso emphasized that the digital age generation is not a hindrance in the creativity of the youth, as long as they instill in them the interest to use organic materials to play with, because according to him, his creativity came from the influence of the culture and way of life with organic form, he is inspired by the beauty and deeper form of nature.

Jinggoy added that what he is now is because of all the experiences he had during his childhood, that he promised to help in his capacity especially the youth to really sharpen their skills and talents to pursue their dreams.
