Mayor Bondjong Pascual said Orani will construct a bigger fishport to replace the old one in Barangay Pantalan Bago to better serve fish traders and fishermen.
He said the new fishport will have 50 stalls compared to the existing 24 stalls.
The mayor said what is good is that the new fishport will not only be primarily for sugpo and alimango but for silinyasi as well.
“Yung silinyasi traders at fishers ay karamihan pangkaraniwang mamamayan, kaya sila ma-cacater din ng bagong fishport”, he said.
He also said the sources of funding of the project are being finalized.
