Organic farming is the future of Bataan

BALANGA CITY, BataanAgricultural Training Institute of Regional Training Center III together with the Office of the Provincial Agriculture held its Organic Agriculture (OA) ang kita sa Organikong Pagsasaka Graduation Ceremony with 500 graduates from different municipalities in the province at La Vista Inland Resort, yesterday, June 19.

The goal of the organic farming workshop is to educate the farmers on how to produce their crafts without using any artificial material in farming. Office of the Provincial Agriculture Officer-in-Charge Engr. Johanna Dizon expressed her gratitude to the 500 farmers who graduated from the ATI Organic Agriculture Program. “The fact that there are 500 farmers who joined the organic agriculture program, we are claiming that in the near future all farmers in Bataan will practice organic farming,” she added.

Graduates from the City of Balanga, Pilar, and Hermosa shared their testimony regarding the organic agricultural farming workshop. City of Balanga OA graduate Jimmy Baisan commended the efforts of the regional office in conducting this kind of workshop where they’ll no longer enrol in schools offering agricultural studies.
