CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Five college students from Bataan bagged the Top 5 Individual Highest Pointer (IHP) award in the recently concluded 18th Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC) joined by seven provinces in Region III last January 9 to 11, held at Tarlac State University Hotel, Lucinda Campus.
RHEPC is an annual gathering of young journalists in the region that aims to develop fellowship among student publication members and to discover a roster of competitive campus journalists to represent the region in the upcoming Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC).
Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) The Guilds Associate Editor John Carl Michael Emala bagged the first place garnering a total score of 26 points followed by Maritime Academy of the Asia and Pacific (MAAP) The Kamaya Point – Kyleri Gancayco garnered 24 points, BPSU-Orani Campus The Polytechnician- Flordeliza De Leon garnered 23 points, Bataan Heroes Memorial College (BHMC) Ang Bayani – Benhur Cruz Jr. garnered 21 points, and BPSU The Guilds – Ezrael Vitto at 20 points.
University and Colleges in Bataan are hopeful to claim another set of awards to the upcoming Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) which will be held at Villa Alfredo’s Resort, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on March 9-11, this year.
