ORANI, Bataan – Orani Water District (OWD) General Manager Benni Andres said that the water district’s civil works and reservoir are set to be finished by year end.
The 2 projects are part of the 5 components upgrade of OWD facilities to better service their members. The first component, well drilling, has already been completed. The other two components are Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and leak detection and monitoring set. He said leak detection and monitoring set can be done this year.
Andres earlier said that the glass-fused-to-steel reservoir will be much bigger than the existing tanks of the water district. It is being built in the boundary of Barangays Mulawin and Pag-asa, Orani.
A total fund of P101 million is being used for the 5-component works, which came from a loan at KFW Bank in Germany though the Local Water Utilities Administration.
