The Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Abucay campus is expected to get P194 million funding for various infrastructure projects within the 50-hectare school which built its reputation for pioneering in agriculture education.
Greg Rodis, president of BPSU, said in his message during the launching of ‘1-4-3’ project on Friday that the said appropriation would be for the construction of a school library, street lighting, training center and other school facilities.
The BPSU campus here is now host to almost 500 students mostly taking up agriculture-related courses. It is now filled with fruit bearing trees, vegetable plants and coconut trees.
Jonathan E. Lacayanga, campus director, said the home-made buko pie, kapeng-barako, macapuno, and nata de coco are fast-becoming popular food products of BPSU Abucay.
“We have been producing these products for the last two years,” said Lacayanga.
