P4 billion world-class new port city to rise in Pilar

The province’s foremost agricultural town is expected to become a world-class new port city and eco-industrial zone with the expected inflow of fresh investment worth P 4 billion this year.

Mayor Carlos Pizarro Jr. revealed the locator proposed a master plan prepared by a Manila-based construction firm of transforming the three coastal villages of this town to more productive undertakings which would create job opportunities, establishment of eco-industrial and tourism industrial park, heritage and executive amusement park, local revenues and other socio-upliftment programs for the fast growing community.

Mayor Pizarro, former chairman of Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA), said the proponents have started clearing the project, tentative site is a 500 hectare land facing Manila Bay.

Mayor Pizarro urged the new investor to provide the necessary environmental safety and protection procedures in the clearing operations to ensure the protection of large mangrove areas from destruction of its marine resources.

The proposed project is one-kilometer away from the town hall and the stretch of Governor Linao National Road leading to the six(6) lanes Roman Expressway.

According to Mayor Pizarro, locators are critically considering accessibility and convenient transports of goods and products, availability of competent workers, good governance and faster delivery of products to the intended domestic and foreign markets.
