Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Services Dr. Hermogenes M. Paguia conducted a two-day training on organic vegetable garden participated by farmers from Abucay and Samal towns.
The training, held at the Organic Agriculture Research and Development Innovation Center (OARDIC), BPSU Abucay Campus, is in line with the extension project, “Campus-Based Techno-Demo on Organic Diversified Farm in Upland Ecosystem”
The techno-demo site on organic diversified farm was showcased to farmers and given overview how the farming system works.
Lecture on how farmers can start their own organic vegetable garden was conducted at OARDIC.
Paguia, who incidentally is also the director of OARDIC said participants will also undergo organic fertilizer training.
OARDIC staff also distributed IEC materials on organic farming to farmers.
