BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Officers and members of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Bataan chapter headed by its president, Mr. Orly dela Peña recently met with Gov. Abet Garcia, inviting the good governor to be their Keynote Speaker in their forthcoming Business Conference set in November this year focusing on the theme Public-Private Partnership.
The PCCI- Bataan Chapter with its active members of 200 prominent businessmen in the province would want to explore further on how they could engage in the many Public-Private Partnership projects in Bataan.
This has been the long term idea of Gov. Abet Garcia that the very businessmen of the province be among those who would participate in the different PPP projects. He said that it has been his dream that the priority investors be from Bataan, that Bataeños would play a major role in the province’s economic growth.
The Public-Private Partnership program, a cooperative arrangement between public and private sectors, typically on a long-term nature, has been used by the government as a mix endeavor to facilitate projects from various stakeholders. With its effective process, the provincial government created Public Private Partnership and Investment Center (PPP-IC) headed by Atty. Joey Angeles, to focus mainly on the different investment ventures entered into by the government through such “forging of partnership”.
