PDRRMC capability building workshop held

CAPITOL GROUNDS – To identify and finalize the disaster preparedness plan and response capability of the province in terms of resources and capacity in order to respond quickly and effectively in times of disaster, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office conducted the capability building workshop yesterday, August 24, 2017 at the PGO conference room.

Present were Ret. PSSUPT. Audie Atienza (OIC, PDRRMO) and Rowena Soriano, RN (Admin. and Training Div. Head) who facilitated the workshop. Maria Charina Cayanan, RN (Research and Planning Div. Head) also graced the event by presenting the PDRRMC structure that was discussed with the other departments involved. The PDRRMC Capacity (presentation of devices used) was led by Cherry Anne Bautista, RN (Operation and Warning Div. Head).

Representatives from MBDA, BFP Bataan, PNP Bataan PPO, MIS, BPSU, REACT, POPCOM, Power Radio, PHO, PEO, PGO, Prov. Budget Office, PPDO, Prov. VET Office, PSWDO, PGENRO, Prov. Legal Office and PGSO attended the event.

Included in the main workshop that followed are the discussion on the disaster programs of different offices/agencies, the additional equipment/vehicle needed by PDRRMC, and the upcoming trainings/activities of PDRRMO.

An open forum was also conducted as well as the discussion on the history and updates on the current bird flu outbreak.
