PG-ENRO crowdsourcing method to meet 1M41B goal

The Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) is determined to achieve its goal of One Million Trees for 1 Bataan (lM41B) challenge in the end of October this year this year.

Engineer Victor B. Ubaldo, environment and natural resources officer said the ecosystem conservation project is conceptualized to empower environmental responsiveness through crowdsourcing method of motivating sustainable participation of the residents and different sectors of the communities.

As of October 1,2019, the environmental strategy has registered a total of 611,225 seedlings planted in more than 1,000 hectares, both of public and private upland areas by multi-sectoral entries of 129 groups and 333 individuals.

Engr. Ubaldo underscored the ecological balance has to be taken into consideration as the future of the next generation must not be threatened and it is part of the provincial government’s inclusive productive agenda that environment should not be sacrificed in exchange for development.
