Phil. Marines national headquarters finds new home in Bataan

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Any time soon the National Headquarters of the Phil. Marines, said to be the most elite class of the AFP uniformed men will now have its new home at the Bataan Techno Park (BTPI), formerly the Phil. Refugee Processing Center.
Gov. Abet Garcia disclosed this development with his recent meeting with the head of the Phil. Marines, that its now final. Their camp at Fort Bonifacio  will be transferred to the Morong Economic Zone, to which the Governor added that this is a good development for the province of Bataan.
The Governor added that the more than 100 hectares that the camp will occupy will be their main headquarters, which will house a new administration building, training ground, housing and other facilities. Gov. Abet emphasized that the presence of the Phil. Marines headquarters in the province will assure the citizenry of a more peaceful and secured environment.
Gov. Abet believes that the BTPI, being an economic zone, housing the Phil Marines, will be an attraction for the investors to locate their businesses, because first and foremost in their feasibility study is the peace and order situation and stability of the place thus, the governor said that this will be a big come on for locators.
In line with this development, the Governor has instructed the Provincial Engineering Office to conduct a study on how they can widen the road from the backdoor of the SBMA, going to the Morong Economic Zone, as he can foresee the influx of people coming in and out of SBMA.
