LIMAY, Bataan – The Police Hotline Movement Incorporated (PHMI) Bataan Chapter, in cooperation with Limay police, distributed hotline streamers in Limay.
Officers and members of PHMI led by its Provincial Directress Yolly Paulo and officers of local police posted last week the hotline streamers in conspicuous places in this town. In coordination with barangay officials, hotline steamers were posted in barangay halls.
Paulo said streamers were also posted in tricycle terminals, and fastened to the body of some tricycles.
The PHMI provincial directress said she came up with this initiative following a recent accident along Roman Highway in Brgy. Townsite involving a bus dispatcher, who was hit by a wayward motorcycle.
She noted that had there been a known hotline number in the area, proper authorities could have much quickly been alerted. She expressed gratitude to Limay police for supporting the project.
PHMI is a national peace-keeping organization formed by former Police General Edgar Aglipay. It has an active chapter in the province. Paulo said they have at least 300 volunteer-members all over the province, particularly in the towns of Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Limay, and Samal.
